Last year, Flickr officially announced the Pro Plan for users under which users had to pay $50 to upgrade to a pro membership. Beside this, Free account for users were also available for use but limited to 1,000 images.

Anyone with images more than 1,000 would have to pay $50 for unlimited images or unlimited use and that new policy still stands. Flicker says customer complaints and server issues pushed it to give people more time to delete and download. Reported by USA Today on Thursday.

Based on feedback from our members and complications some members experienced when downloading images, we have decided to extend our deletion eligibility deadline to March 12. Scott kinzie, Vice President of Flickr-owner SmugMug, said in the report.

He also said; the photo-sharing Flickr website is allowing people to download their photos, but only 500 images at a time.

It was started independently in 2004 and it was acquired by Yahoo in 2005 then, they left it for several years.

SmugMug photo site for professional photographers as a place to sell photos and run their websites, purchased by Flickr in April 2018 and officially announced the new policies on November 01,2018.
